The Privacy Policy of Bespoke Bindings:
Bespoke Bindings takes the privacy of its customers very seriously, ensuring that only data required to process orders is collected, processed and stored, and done so in a secure fashion. This policy sets out how we (the data controller for the purposes of this privacy policy) do this and your rights with relation to the usage and storage of this data. We may change this policy occasionally, so please do refer back to it every now and then.

The information we collect:
The information we collect through this website is currently limited to your name, email address, IP address (the internet address of the device you use to access this website e.g. your computer, tablet, smartphone) and the content of electronic correspondence (e.g. email messages) when you contact
us with a query or to discuss placing an order.
How we store this information:
We store this information securely in a password-protected environment in UK or EU-located data stores in line with GDPR requirements. In line with UK data protection legislation, we will retain this information only for as long as it is necessary to administer the relationship we have with you and to
respect the purposes for which the information was originally intended. In limited cases it may be necessary to keep this information for longer in view of other legal requirements e.g. keeping a copy of your invoice for up to 7 years for HMRC to satisfy regulations. This invoice will consist only of your name, delivery address, details of the products you purchased, and the nature of the invoice itself. When we do not require this information further, we will dispose of it in a secure manner.
How we use this information:
We use this information strictly for the following purposes:
- Communicating with you to ensure we understand your precise requirements;
- Processing your order;
- Delivering your order which requires us to give your name (or the name of the recipient) and delivery address to third party delivery couriers
- To enable this website to serve content to you
- To administer this website;
- To improve this website through analysis, statistical or survey means;
- To meet applicable legal requirements, like keeping records of invoiced products;
- To more quickly enable you to make a new order with Bespoke Bindings
By using this website, placing an order through one of our online shops or contacting us to discuss an order, you are giving your consent to us contacting you for any of the purposes listed either by email, telephone or in writing. Similarly, you confirm that you do not consider such contact being a breach of any of your rights under the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
When, why and how we may share your data:
We may have to share your personal information with trustworthy third parties to enable them to deliver your order. These third parties are, like Bespoke Bindings, bound by UK data protection legislation to similarly only use your personal information for the intended purpose (e.g. to deliver your product), to keep it confidential and once no longer required for the intended purpose, to dispose of it securely. For the avoidance of doubt, we will not share your personal information to any company beyond Bespoke Bindings for the purposes of marketing or mailing.
Using images of your product:
We like to display the very latest products from Bespoke Bindings on our website, and to that end we do take photos of most of the items we make. To show other customers what products Bespoke Bindings can offer them, we would like to use images of these products on the Bespoke Bindings website or as part of advertising campaigns on social media, by email, or other means. We will ask whether you agree the use of images of your product in this manner (on the strict condition that doing so does not identify you in any way without your explicit, additional consent) by asking for your consent when you confirm your order. In line with your rights on data usage (see next section), you may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us at info@bespokebindings.co.uk and we will remove the image from any media platform digital or otherwise, and destroy the file.

In line with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights over the handling and usage of information relating to you (as detailed in this privacy policy) that we collect:
- The right to be informed – you have the right to know what personal information we collect from you, how we use and store it, how you can withdraw your consent for its usage, how you can lodge a complaint via the Information Commissioner’s Office etc i.e. as set out in this Privacy policy, which we commit to bringing to your attention in every reasonable fashion;
- The right of access – you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it and over what time frame;
- The right to rectification – if we have inaccurate personal data relating to you, you have the right to expect us to correct it without undue delay once you have supplied the information necessary for us to do so;

Delivery:
All books are posted to customers using the 2nd class Royal Mail tracked service, which takes 2-5 working days to deliver.
Signed For and Priority services are sometimes recommended for peace of mind. These services are charged at an additional cost, depending on the value of the item.
Books are packaged and posted 2 days after receiving payment.
Returns Policy:
You have the right to cancel an order from the moment an order is placed until 14 days after the day you recieve your product. If you do decide to cancel your order and return the item you have a further 14 days to send the returned goods. For personalised items and products made to a customer specification, you do not have a right to cancel your order. However customer satisfaction is of upmost importance to us, therefore we will assess the possibility of refund in whole or in part on a case by case basis.
